Michael Piatti
Project Manager
Michael’s work as a project manager for the conservancy has him overseeing a wide variety of projects, from restoration of neglected recreation sites to preservation work ensuring the trails amazing history is not lost.
His introduction to the Sierra as a child sparked a lifelong passion for the outdoors and our nation’s public lands.
“These vast expanses of public land are one of the most amazing aspects of our country, they are owned by each and every citizen, and it is therefore the responsibility of the collective to ensure that these amazing places thrive for future generation”.
After pursuing an education at Colorado State University with a focus in Natural Resource Recreation, he moved back to the Sierra in 2014. He has worked on trail crews, in project management, and non-profit outdoor youth programming. When not coordinating logistics, he enjoys any mountain activity that allows him to take in the awe and challenge of the rugged Sierra Nevada landscape.
