Matthew Adams is the grandson of legendary landscape photographer and environmentalist Ansel Adams. He carries forward his family’s legacy as President of The Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite National Park. Founded in 1902, the gallery has played an important role in conserving and sharing photography, art, and conservation values with generations of visitors to Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada.

Matthew also plays a critical role in preserving the artistic and environmental vision of his family.

Matthew is an avid outdoorsman and hiker who has visited the sites of his grandfather’s iconic Sierra Nevada photography on many occasions.
