Herb Fockler is a retired partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he spent over 40 years advising high-technology and biotechnology companies on corporate and securities matters. His practice focused on startup formation, venture capital financings, public offerings, corporate governance, SEC compliance, and public and private mergers and acquisitions. He represented hundreds of entrepreneurs, venture-backed startups, and public companies across the technology industry, including computer hardware and software, semiconductors, Internet and web commerce, mobile technologies, medical devices, and drug development.

Herb has been recognized nationally as a leader in corporate and securities law, serving on the California State Bar’s Legal Opinions Committee and as past chairman of the ABA’s Venture Capital Transactions Committee. He is currently an Adjunct Professor of Law at the UC Berkeley School of Law, and has taught and lectured at many other educational institutions over the years.

Herb holds a J.D. from Harvard, cum laude, and an A.B. in physics from Princeton.
