2023/2024 JMT hikers know what type of trouble a broken footbridge can cause.

A bridge outage like this can impede and impact our work. It’s the reason JMT Wild’s restoration projects in Kings Canyon were delayed by two seasons.

Thanks to the incredible Kings Canyon team, including Barnaby Fisher, KC Trails Lead, the next season of thru-hikers and pack stock supported travelers will have a safe way to cross the San Joaquin River!
