Prior to joining JMT Wilderness Conservancy, Ursula spent nearly a decade at Sugar Bowl Ski Team & Academy, contributing to the development and operation of the business office. Her experience in organizational leadership, and in supporting student-athletes and staff within a rigorous academic and athletic environment, laid the foundation for her transition to the environmental sector. In joining JMT Wild, she continues to expand her commitment to community growth, sustainability and stewardship through support of the JMT Wild’s mission to protect and steward the public lands and wilderness experiences along the JMT in the Sierra Nevada.

A longtime Truckee resident and engaged community member, Ursula has supported numerous local initiatives focused on youth development, civic participation and equitable access. Outside of work, Ursula enjoys reading, hiking, spending time with family and friends, and savoring summer days on Donner Lake.
